Only being here for a couple of weeks I can say that the staff actually cares about you as an individual. From the check in with Jess to Mary Sue at the finance hub, Meridith at the front desk. The people are awesome. My individual therapist is beyond awesome. I look forward to coming back for my required days. I can't forget Kate, her lectures which include the group are always enlightening. Thank you all.
Professional and well educated, experienced councellors/staff. They work hard with there clients to understand and help there needs in a sensitive and caring way. There material is original, it works and as a result save lives. This is my second go around and am so greatful there here for me.
I was a former therapist at this place and they were the only good mental health/addictions job I had in the last three years. They truly care about everyone they serve and their employees too. I have seen many people with severe addictions transform while I worked there. I left because of having had a long commute and nothing to do with their services. Best IOP in the Baltimore region in my opinion.
After my most recent Inpatient Rehabilitation admittance I was immediately directed to Resource Connect to begin an Intensive Outpatient Program. This was in August of 2015. My Treatment Plan began with 2 three hour sessions a day, four days a week becoming 1 three hour session a day my third week. I continued this schedule until mid October when my sessions became three days a week. I graduated Intensive Outpatient (I.O.P.) in December 2015 and started the Relapse Prevention Program. These groups meet 2 days a week for an hour and a half, my current status. While this schedule was specific to me, it should be noted that the treatment plans vary based upon the individual clients needs. Treatment itself is a detailed continuation of Inpatient Rehabilitation focusing on the physical effects of drug and alcohol addiction as well as educating the client with the necessary tools to help them maintain their sobriety. The group participation sessions explore each persons past experiences, current situation, and what they can expect in the future. Using these factors, the ultimate goal is help these addicts and/or alcoholics avoid relapse. The therapeutic staff at Resource Connect are familiar with each clients current status and is dedicated to helping and supporting them through their recovery process. The client will also be assigned to at least one counselor to be available for one on one sessions as needed. They should also expect to be recommended to attend Alcoholics or Narcotics Anonymous meetings and are encouraged (when able) to seek or carry employment. Resource Connect has been an instrumental part of my personal recovery process. I have been clean and sober for 11 months and expect to finish my rehabilitation process this July 2016 knowing I must continue going to AA and NA meetings thereafter. I can't thank the counseling staff enough for their help in getting me sober. The best way is to try to help another addict who is still struggling.
As Associate Clinical Director I cannot say enough about the skill level, dedication and caring that is shared among the entire staff both clinical and administrative. Our new Ambulatory Detox Program and partnerships with local recovery houses continue to differentiate us from other intensive outpatient programs. We proudly reduce barriers to treatment by proving van service and state funded recovery housing support.
I have been working here as a therapist for over a year and it has been an incredible experience. I have never worked with such compassionate and dedicated staff. Everyone here truly cares about helping clients obtain the life they want and I have seen numerous clients thrive in recovery with the help of this program. I feel lucky to be part of such a skilled team and have the opportunity to be even a brief part of clients success.
